*Early March 5, Bau Bang district’s Red Cross Society in collaboration with HCM city-based Cho Ray Hospital’s Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center held a voluntary blood donation campaign under the theme of “Pink spring”.

More than 250 volunteers, including officials, civil servants, Youth Union members and locals, took part in the campaign. As a result, the organizers collected 202 units of blood, equivalent to 70,700 milliliters of blood.

*The Women’s Union of Phu My ward in TDM city has just organized activities in celebration of the 108^th anniversary of International Women’s Day and the 1978^th anniversary of the Trung Sisters’ Uprising.

After reviewing the history of International Women’s Day and the glorious tradition of Vietnamese Women, the local Women’s Union organized a variety of animated activities such as a fruit arrangement contest themed “Color of love”, a cook contest entitled “Warmness of love”…

*The Women’s Union of An Linh commune in Phu Giao district, on March 2, held a get-together to celebrate the 108th anniversary of International Women’s Day and the 1978th anniversary of the Trung Sisters’ Uprising.

Over the past years, officials and members of the commune’s Women’s Union made efforts to surmount difficulties, well fulfilled their role in family & society and actively took part in government and Party building.

Also at the get-together, the commune’s Women’s Union also launched a piggy bank raising movement, saving money to buy health insurance cards for women with poor circumstances.
