North Tan Uyen District achieves and exceeds socio-economic development targets

On November 13, People's Committee of North Tan Uyen district held a conference to summarize the socio-economic, defense and security situation in 2023; and set out directions and tasks for 2024.

In 2023, with the efforts and determination of the district Party Committee, government and people, most socio-economic development targets have been achieved and exceeded according to the resolutions of the District Party Committee and District People's Council. The production value of agriculture - industry - trade and services maintained stable growth compared to the previous year. The infrastructure system continued to receive focus and investment. The entire district had 40 OCOP products recognized by Provincial People's Committee with 3 and 4 stars. The quality of new rural criteria implementation in localities was increasingly improved. In culture and society, policies to support social security were implemented promptly and effectively. The work of repaying gratitude and taking care of policy beneficiaries and vulnerable groups was carried out thoughtfully, promptly and in accordance with regulations. Political security situation, social order and safety continued to be stable.

Speaking at the conference, Nguyen Thanh Thuong, Chairman of the District People's Committee, asked the district's units, departments and branches to review existing problems and limitations to implement more effective solutions in 2024, especially monitor and supervise the implementation of the National Target Program on building new rural areas for communes to maintain and improve the quality of achieved criteria; continue to focus on attracting investment; strengthen inspection of compliance with laws on land, environment, minerals...

* During two days (November 12 and 13), Political Center of North Tan Uyen district opened a professional training course on Party works for Party organizations in the district. Participating in the training class were 250 students who were secretaries, deputy secretaries, committee members, and secretaries of branches, grassroots Party Committees of the district and party cell secretaries of hamlets and neighborhoods in the district.

The training class aimed to provide basic knowledge about Party works at the grassroots level; on staff organization and ideological; mass mobilization; inspection, supervision, reward and discipline of organizations; tasks of the Party Committee and Party Secretary and improving the quality of Party life; preventing and combating "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" among party members at the grassroots level helps the secretary and grassroots party committee members to properly perform their responsibilities and tasks...
