North Tan Uyen district unite to build new countryside, civilized towns

Union members and people from all walks of life in North Tan Uyen district have actively participated in campaigns and patriotic emulation movements launched by the local government. In particular, the movement of all people unite to build new rural areas and civilized cities was supported and gained many encouraging results.

Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of North Tan Uyen district launched a program to collaborate with member agencies and organizations to carry out the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized towns" in the period 2021-2026 and announced to all communes and townships. The Fatherland Front from the district to communes and townships joined hands with branches and mass organizations to propagate and encourage households in the area to preserve environmental sanitation, not to litter, to clean and sanitize roads; on the other hand, to carry out works and tasks, contributing to improving the quality of the new rural construction criteria in the area, and the model of residential areas with "clean - green - beautiful" environment.

In the spirit to change the face of the countryside, Fatherland Fronts of communes and towns in the area actively implemented the district Fatherland Front's plan to serve social development and take care of people's lives. Namely, in Tan Thanh town, the town's Fatherland Front coordinated with branches and mass organizations to organize propaganda campaigns throughout the year to encourage households to maintain environmental sanitation, implement the model of "Residential areas with clean - green - beautiful environment" in the town, and expand flower streets.

Particularly in 2021, the town's Fatherland Front coordinated to implement two routes of "Lighting up country roads" with 60 solar light bulbs; in which people contributed more than 50% of the implementation budget, helped to improve the quality of new rural construction criteria. The town also achieved the results 6/6 "Cultural quarters", 99% "Cultural families" and 99% "Studious families"... Thereby, the campaigns and emulation movements have created trust and consensus among all classes of people, jointly implementing targeted programs of socio-economic development in the area.

In recent years, the Fatherland Front of North Tan Uyen district and grassroots Fatherland Front actively cooperated with the authorities and member organizations to take care of policy beneficiaries, social protection people, poor and near-poor households. Fatherland Front at all levels in the area mobilized and offered houses, gifts and savings books to policy households, poor, near-poor households, disadvantaged children, and mobilized donations for the Fund "For the Poor" to give support to the poor in the district...

To play the core role

According to Fatherland Front Committee of North Tan Uyen district, to implement the direction of building new rural areas in the coming time, the district Fatherland Front will continue to mobilize people for the good creative labor, to successfully implement  economic, cultural and social development goals; organize effectively patriotic emulation movements, well perform social security work. The district Fatherland Front actively cooperates with the authorities and member organizations to implement the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized towns" to contribute to improving the new rural construction criteria.

Accordingly, Fatherland Fronts of communes, townships and mass organizations promote the spirit and their role, undertake a number of specific tasks in new rural construction program. Nguyen Van Huy, Chairman of the district Farmers' Union, said that for the implementation of the National Target Program on new rural construction, the whole union continued to promote many creative and appropriate ways. 10/10 union branches have models of farmers participating in rural environmental protection. With the motto "The State and people work together", Farmers' Unions from district to communes actively propagate and engage farmers in the construction of new rural areas by practical actions, such as donating lands for road construction; farmers contribute, repair, and upgrade rural roads, clear road beds and roadsides; repair canals; members participate in labor days....

Besides, the union continues to launch and improve the quality of the movement "Good farmers in production and business", encoruage farmers to unite, help each other alleviate poverty sustainably, implement criteria of structural transformation, economic development, income enhancement, poverty reduction and social security of the national target program on building new rural areas.

“Based on the specific situation and conditions of each locality, the Farmers' Union will promote the role of farmers in the construction of new rural areas in accordance based on the motto of the Party leading, the State supporting, the people doing the work and enjoying the results of new rural construction", Huy said.
