Yesterday July 26th, the Cabinet held an online conference for central officials and officials of 63 localities on enhancing administrative reform and civil service’s regulations. Politburo Member cum Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired the conference.According to Ministry of the Interior’s report for the first 6 months of 2013, administrative reform has been focused and implemented at localities and got some achievements: simplification of 115 administrative procedures from total 4,751 ones. Additionally, the Ministry of Justice checked quality of 23,451 procedures and published on internet. Cities, provinces directly under the central government verified 5,840 regulations, procedures stipulated by 1,138 legal normative acts.In Binh Duong province, 7/7 localities implemented modern model of “one-door”; established the Internal Affairs Committee; checked and decentralized governmental administration on fields of construction, agriculture, transportation and decentralized provincial administration on fields of resources, environment; promulgated Project of PCI development; improved quality of official recruitment, etc.At the conference, representatives of localities discussed solutions, defined main duties in the future in order to set up electronic government at localities.Reported by Thanh Le – Translated by Ngoc Huynh
