Tan Uyen district’s Youth Union held a conference partially summing up its activities in the first half of 2010 and designing orientations and tasks for the rest of the year. The conference also partially summed up the three-year implementation of the campaign “Tan Uyen’s youths study and follow Uncle Ho’s teaching”.
In the first half of 2010, Tan Uyen district’s Youth Union set up 10 sub-unions for young workers at lodging facilities with 332 members; fulfilled 10 classes on computer for 207 learners; offered jobs for 432 youths; helped 40 needy students get loan for their learning; organized many activities to brace up youths to get involved in economic development. The district’s Youth Union also awarded scholarships worth VND10mln to 41 pupils and joined hands with its affiliates to present gifts, scholarships to 51 disadvantaged pupils…
On this occasion, Tan Uyen district’s People’s Committee awarded the certificates of merit to 9 collectives and 15 individuals who gained excellent achievements in the campaign “Tan Uyen’s youths study and follow Uncle Ho’s teaching”. The awards of the contests “Designing gold books” and “Introducing exemplary role-models” in the campaign launched by the district’s Youth Union were also presented to winners.
