In the first half of 2010, provincial Youth Federation focused on the three great campaigns “Youths live usefully and beautifully”, “Youths volunteer for social welfare and environmental protection”, “Youths establish their career and enrich themselves properly”, contributing to the local socio-economic development.
Reportedly, provincial Youth Federation admitted additional 13,700 members, bringing the total number of members to 387,000. Through significant programs like “Youths study and follow Uncle Ho’s teaching, “Youths act for social welfare”, “Youths and traffic culture…, many youth works were also realized with positive results.
Provincial Youth Federation also partially summed up the three-year implementation of the campaign “Studying and following Uncle Ho’s teaching”; praised 80 outstanding youths; awarded scholarships to poor-but-excellent pupils; offered help to youths for economic development. Estimatedly, more than 1.3mln in loan from the local Bank for Social Policy, Plan 120…was disbursed for youths to develop homebased business and pursue their learning.
Environmental protection was one of the highlighted movements made by the local youths during the time. More than 86 youth works at a total expense of nearly VND300mln were realized by the local youths. In general, provincial Youth Federation’s activities and programs in the first half of the year brought good results, said provincial Youth Union Deputy Chief cum provincial Youth Federation Chief Do Ngoc Huy.
From now till year-end, provincial Youth Federation and its affiliates will organize many important programs such as the youth summer volunteer campaign, the week for youth workers, the festival day “Youths and traffic culture”, the camping festival “Sharing the Song Be river”, the conference highlighting outstanding chiefs of the clubs for youths and female workers at lodging facilities...
