Tan Uyen’s youths act for social welfare

  Tan Uyen’s youths cleaning up a rural road  The 2010 Youth Summer Volunteer Campaign in Tan Uyen district has continued boosting activities themed “Youths act for social welfare”.

 

Particularly, Tan Uyen district’s Youth Union and its affiliates have actively got involved in organizing the “Green Sunday” campaign; visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers, martyrs and war invalids’ families…Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan, vice-secretary of the district’s Youth Union said that during the summer campaign, the local Youth Unions need to take part in socio-economic development and carry out at least one voluntary work.

 

Also according to her, they need to make plans to help poor youths rise up out of poverty while paying attention to gathering children and pupils for summer activities, setting up sub-unions for young workers at lodging facilities... They have also got involved in cleaning up the local monuments, martyrs’ cemetery; carrying out the campaign “Sentimental attachment for border and island regions”…

 

During the summer campaign, the district’s Youth Union and its affiliates will also take part in the peak week on environmental protection entitled “Tan Uyen’s youths sharing efforts for a green-clean and nice environment; team up with relevant agencies to dissemination knowledge about community health, provide free medical check-ups and medicine for poor patients in Dat Cuoc commune; mobilize youths to give blood and voluntarily keep traffic safety and order…

 

Regarding the program of “For youths’ development”, the district’s Youth Union will work harder on mobilizing youths to attend classes on universal hi-school education and computer. Especially, the district’s Youth Union will launch a volunteer squad on the law dissemination, actively organize the activities of the week for young workers, open vocational-oriented classes and offer jobs to youths; gave more support for youths to develop homebased business…It will also promote the activities for beloved juniors.
