Over 300 people in Phu Giao take park in voluntary blood donation

Phu Giao district’s Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation has just coordinated with the HCM city-based Cho Ray hospital’s Blood Transfusion and Hematology Center to organize the fourth voluntary blood donation campaign of 2016 (photo).

The campaign attracted around 300 volunteers, including officials, civil servants, Red Cross members and locals, with 186 units of blood, equivalent to 65,100 milliliters of blood given.

It is known that the district’s Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation has been assigned a task of mobilizing and collecting 1,600 units of blood this year.

Since early this year, the Steering Board has organized 4 voluntary blood donation campaigns and collected 890 units of blood, equivalent to 311,500 milliliters of blood or 55.6% of the year’s target.
