Overcoming difficulties for comprehensive growth

A glance of the South Tan Uyen Industrial Park

In the last tenure, Tan Uyen district’s socio-economic situation continued reaping a comprehensive growth. The result came from the inheritance of the achievements of the previous term and the ceaseless efforts by the local Party, government and people over the past five years…

 

Over the past five year, Tan Uyen district’s industrial manufacture sector obtained a sharp growth at 24.58%. The district is now home to 289 FDI projects and 511 domestic ones with the total registered capital of more than US$1.02trillion and VND4.38trillion. Many industrial parks and compounds in northern communes of the district, including the Tan Uyen residential estate, the Dat Cuoc industrial park, Tan My industrial compound, are also being formed up.

 

The district also paid attention to building social-technical infrastructure with the total investment capital of over VND690.25bln, 1.85 times higher than that of the 2,000 and 2,005 tenure.

 

For urban development, the district has set up the common planning for building the urban areas of South Tan Uyen, Tan Thanh and Cong Xanh. The whole district has so far had 19 residential estate and housing projects with 769.8 ha in total, 5 of which have basically been fulfilled.

 

The district also paid attention to infrastructure investment in the education and training sector and giving vocational training to laborers, actively contributing to the local socio-economic development. The ratio of the well-off and moderately good households herein grew by 5%-7%/year while the ratio of poor households saw sharp reduction.

 

The district’s agricultural sector took fruits at the average growth of 5.04%. Its structure was also shifted towards growth of animal husbandry. Thanks to application of sci-tech advancement, the output and productivity of various crops herein saw increase, bringing the local farmers the average income of VND45mln/ha/year.

 

Such these apart, the district focused on infrastructure investment for the new countryside, enhancing the material and spiritual lives of the local people; developed some eco-tourism projects of Mat Xanh, Han Tam Dang and Mekong Gold &Villas Bach Dang, which was a premise for the local tourism growth.

 

With results done and existing problems, the 10th Party congress of Tan Uyen district must deliberate and put forward the resolutions and measures that are in line with the local real situation for better growth in the coming time.
