Phu Giao District honors typical voluntary blood donors

On July 11, Steering Committee for voluntary blood donation of Phu Giao district held a meeting to honor and reward typical individuals and families in 2023.

Recently, the voluntary blood donation movement in Phu Giao district has attracted many people from all walks of life to donate blood to save lives. Particularly over the first 6 months of 2023, the district's Steering Committee for voluntary blood donation mobilized more than 1,700 turns of participants in this campaign. As a result, 1,598 blood units were collected, reaching 78% of the assigned target in 2023.

At the meeting, 12 individuals were awarded the medal "For the cause of humanity" by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society; 4 individuals and 3 families making many contributions to voluntary blood donation (20 times of blood donation) were awarded certificates of merit issued by Provincial People's Committee; 19 individuals and 7 families (15 times of blood donation) were awarded certificates of merit by Provincial Steering Committee for voluntary blood donation. Phu Giao District People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 72 individuals and families, who donated blood 10 times; 122 individuals and families, who donated blood 5 times.

On this occasion, Provincial Red Cross Society presented 250 cans of milk worth 75 million VND to Red Cross Society of Phu Giao district to give gifts to these honored individuals and families.
