Phu Giao’s youngsters volunteer for the sake of the community

For the sake of the community, Phu Giao district’s Youth Union actively got involved in volunteer activities with outstanding achievements and was recognized as an excellent unit last year.

In 2014, Phu Giao district’s Youth Union organized 765 propaganda shows and exchange programs with the participation of nearly 4,000 Youth Union members; instructed all its affiliates to seriously carry out criticism and self-criticism among Youth Union officials…, thereby contributing to creating a beautiful image of Youth Union members for teenagers and children to follow.

The district’s Youth Union also promoted the campaign of “Youth studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings” among Youth Union members. Particularly, the local Youth Union organized a competition telling stories about late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals; well realized the movements of “Thrift practice-wastefulness prevention”, “Three responsibilities”; organized classes on Ho Chi Minh’s ideology for Youth Union members…

Noticeably, the district’s Youth Union guided its affiliates to select suitable contents and forms for educating the local youth to study and follow Uncle Ho’s teachings. As a result, after three years of implementing the campaign of “Studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings”, the district’s Youth Union granted 42 certificates to outstanding Youth Union members in the campaign.

Reportedly, the district’s Youth Union last year organized a lot of insignificant activities for the sake of the community, including providing free medical check-ups, medicine for more than 100 policy beneficiaries; upgrading 1 rural road; installing lighting systems on roads; giving more than 500 notebooks for poor-but-excellent pupils; joining hands with relevant agencies to donate 2 houses of compassion to needy youngsters; visiting heroic Vietnamese mothers; clearing canals, tidying up rural roads, quarters, health stations…

Over the past time, the district’s Youth Union constantly consolidated its apparatus, made proper action programs, improved forms and contents in the task of uniting and gathering the local young people at their correct demand. All created favorable conditions for the local young people to grow up, contributing to building up a more prosperous, powerful and civilized homeland.
