PPC to collect feedbacks on revised Civil Code draft

Morning March 23^rd, provincial People’s Committee (PPC) held a conference to collect opinions and feedbacks on revised draft of Civil Code. PPC’s Chairman Mr. Tran Van Nam chaired the meeting.

At the conference, participants discussed 10 key issues of responsibilities of the competent authorities for protecting civil rights, personal rights, subjects of legal civil relations, legal consequences of civil transactions do not comply with regulations, third persons in case of disabled civil transactions, ownership forms, establishment time of property rights, contractual adjustments, interest rates in loan contracts, and prescription of the Civil Code.

In addition to opinions on key issues, participants actively contributed feedbacks on unrealistic articles, such as: regulations on terminologies, walkway through adjacent properties, testament, gender equality, inheritance, rights to respect for privacy…

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Van Nam confirmed, the Civil Code was extremely important in the context of economic development, relationships arise, increasingly complex civil disputes. He suggested that sectors and agencies put more effort to collect feedbacks on the entire code, articles, and being not in contrary to norms and customs...
