Propaganda and counseling on Marriage - Family Law to youngsters of ethnic minorities

Implementing the Scheme of “Reducing child marriage and cousin marriage among ethnic minorities in 2016-2020 period in Binh Duong Province”, provincial Ethnic Office in collaboration with Minh Hoa commune organized propaganda and counseling activities on Marriage - Family Law for 70 adolescents of ethnic minorities living in Minh Hoa, Minh Thanh commune in Dau Tieng District.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Duc Chinh, Deputy Head of Legal Propaganda Office under Department of Justice, disseminated some contents of: Law on Marriage - Family; child marriage and cousin marriage; backward practices on marriage and family need to be removed; some situations, questions of marriage such as rital property before, during and after marriage; regulations on rights and obligations of parents, offspring during and after the marriage, in order to local ethnic minorities’ awareness of building happy and legally family.

Earlier, Binh Duong province Youth Activity Center in collaboration with Dau Tieng District Youth Union visited and gave gifts to Cham ethnic people living in Hoa Loc hamlet, Minh Hoa commune, Dau Tieng District. This was an activity that is part of the 7^th “Army Semester” 2016 of provincial Youth Union. 170 small soldiers visited and presented 50 gifts worth totally over VND12 million to families in difficult circumstances. In addition, young persons gave 700 sets of clothes and 100 gifts to ethnic children.
