Province attaches special importance to new-style rural construction

Binh Duong province has recently created a vigorous breakthrough in the new-style rural construction program. The whole province has so far had 46 out of 49 communes meeting criteria of the program. Noticeably, there are plenty of obvious changes in the new-style rural communes of the province with the lives of people improved.

Obvious changes

An Tay commune in Ben Cat town was one of the province’s localities reaching criteria of the new-style rural construction program for the period of 2011-2015. The commune now continues improving the quality of criteria of the program. Over the past time, the commune attached special importance to rural traffic infrastructure development, facilitating people’s traveling and goods transportation. There are now 100% of inter-communal and main in-field streets upgraded and covered by asphalt together with a power system improved.

Thanh Hoi commune in Tan Uyen was also recognized as a new-style rural commune in 2015. During the period of 2016-2018, the commune continued carrying out 16 works on rural traffic and basic construction with a total investment capital of VND15.4billion. The commune is now fully covered by the national power grid, well serving people’s needs for daily life and production. Truong Van Thanh Giang, Vice-Chairman of the communal People’s Committee said that the commune is focusing on developing it into a new rural commune with modern socio-economic infrastructure facilities in line with the rural region, hi-tech agricultural development in association with ecotourism…

Possible seeing, 90% of streets in new-style rural communes of the province have been upgraded and covered by asphalt together an irrigational system ensuring supply of water for 100% of vegetables, crops and fruit trees. There are now nearly 100% of households in use of the national power grid…

High consensus

Over the past time, the province attached special importance to making dissemination of information about the new rural construction program, thereby creating a high consensus among people and raising their awareness of the program.

The whole province only exists 3 communes reaching 16-18 criteria of the program and they are striving to be recognized as new-style rural communes by the end of 2018. In 2019, the province will try to get 5-7 advanced new-style rural communes and have additional two districts recognized as new rural ones, lifting the total number of such districts up 5. By 2020, there will be 12-15 advanced new-style rural communes; 6 districts and towns completing the new-style rural construction program…

In the period of 2016-2018, the whole province spent more than VND6.31trillion on the new rural construction program. Possibly seeing, the program created a lot of great changes, especially in the traffic infrastructure system in new-style rural communes of the province with 100% of streets herein upgraded and covered by asphalt.

Ho Thi Quang Ngoc, Deputy Head of the Central Coordination Office for New Styled Rural Development said that the province has always attached special importance to propaganda work during the new-style rural construction process, creating a high consensus among people and mobilizing people from all strata to get involved in the program while having timely commendation for outstanding organizations and individuals…

Possibly speaking, thanks to the high determination of authorities at all levels plus people’s consensus, the program’s program on new-style rural construction has created pervasion, deep and wide impacts on the development of the local rural region…
