In response to this year’s World Environment Day with the theme of ‘Many species-one planet-on future’, the provincial People’s Committee issued Document No.783/UBND-KTN dated March 26, 2010 on launching promulgation and communication activities on environment protection to build the province into an urban area without garbage.

Accordingly, activities of raising bodies and people’s awareness and responsibility on environmental protection, climate change and bio-diversification preservation are focused on.

Meetings and significant activities in response to the World Environment Day are also paid attention. They consist of cleaning streets, planting green trees, upgrading clean water supply works, collecting and solving garbage as well as upholding voluntary spirit of youths for environment protection and so on.

Activities of disseminating reasons and harmful effects of environmental pollution, climate change as well as benefits of bio-diversification preservation, afforestation and so on are concentrated on. Besides, slogans, panels, leaflets on the World Environment Day and bio-diversification preservation are hung in public areas, main streets and residential areas to remind the public of environment protection. Individuals with excellent achievements of environment protection, bio-diversification preservation and development will be honored.

Aside from socio-economic development based on industrialization, urbanization process must be attached to environment protection.

Therefore, launching promulgation and communication activities of environment protection is a very significant deed.

To maintain activities of environment protection and bound for a civilized and clean Binh Duong as well as to raise the community’s awareness on environmental hygiene and urban beauty, functional agencies strive to reach 100% of households to join in environment protection campaigns.

Meanwhile, mass bodies, armed forces, localities jointly map out plans of coping with environmental problems, step up inspections and settlements on environmental pollution, install dustbins across key routes and parks, markets and other public areas in a bid to protect environment. In addition, the functional agencies accelerate promulgations and mobilizations on civilize lifestyle to the public so as to build a civilized and clean Binh Duong.
