Significant deeds

One of the most significant deeds made by authorities at all levels of Binh Duong over the past time was to build and upgrade gratitude houses for the families of people who have rendered great service to the nation.

 Ho Thi Thang, a Vietnamese heroic mother in Ben Cat district’s Chanh Phu Hoa commune living in a newly-built gratitude house with enough home comforts Particularly, the province built 66 gratitude houses worth nearly VND6.35bln and upgraded 207 others with total expense of nearly VND6.2bln. Provincial Fatherland Front Committee also extracted more than VND2bln from provincial Fund for Paying Debt of Gratitude to present home equipment such as tables, chairs, beds…to 96 families of Vietnamese heroic mothers, seriously-wounded soldiers and policy beneficiary families.

For the local Party, government and people, the above significant activities were seen as a gratitude of the generation today to those who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation; national construction and defence.

Improving policy beneficiaries’ spiritual and material lives

Defining that the improvement of policy beneficiaries’ spiritual and material lives is also an important task, Binh Duong conducted district-level authorities to provide healthcare for more than 1,900 those who have rendered great service to the nation with total expense of more than VND2bln together with many other allowances of billions of dong…

Especially, on the occasion of the annual Tet holiday, War Invalids and Martyrs’Day, the province visited and presented gifts to nearly 115,000 policy beneficiaries with total expense of more than VND73bln while providing 220 people who have rendered great service with tours to Ha Noi, Con Dao, Phu Quoc with total expense of more than VND1.8bln.

According to Huynh Thi Hong Thu, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the State’s system of policies for those who have rendered great service to the nation has got more and more perfect. In addition to preferential policies as stipulated by State, Binh Duong has always paid more attention to the spiritual and material lives of policy beneficiaries. The province extracted its annual State budget for visiting and presenting gifts to policy beneficiaries on the occasion of the annual Tet holiday and War Invalids and Martyrs’Day while expanding more beneficiaries and providing many other allowances for policy beneficiaries.

With the above substantial deeds in the task of “paying debt of gratitude”, the lives of policy beneficiary families across the province were improved over the past time. The result also came from the efforts by the local authorities at all levels and people for those who laid down their lives for the independence and freedom of the nation.
