Province needs capital to develop infrastructure, health, education and environment, says provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman Tran Thanh Liem

On August 19, Christopher Legg, Director of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) for Vietnam, Australia, Newzealand and Singapore paid a working visit to Binh Duong. Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee received the director.

The director said that the AIIB with the headquarters in China’s Beijing was put in operation in 2015 with 57 members. The State Bank of Vietnam is a partner of the AIIB and is also its member. Therefore, Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular can seek information on loans for infrastructure development from the AIIB.

Mr.Liem also thanked the AIIB’s attention to Binh Duong during the past time. With 50% of population from other localities and population growth of over 7% a year, Binh Duong has a great demand for capital to develop infrastructure, health, education, environment…
