On the afternoon of January 9, provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held a conference to review its activities in 2019 and implement orientations, tasks for 2020, in attendance of Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.
In 2019, the province’s agro-forestry and fishery production value surged 4% or 2.6% of the local economic structure. There were more than 5,300 hectares of farming land for hi-tech application together with development in terms of hi-tech animal husbandry. As of late 2019, there were 100% of communes, 1 district and 2 towns meeting criteria of the new-style rural construction program, contributing to improving the lives of people in the rural region of the province. In 2020, the province will strive to gain the growth of 4% in agro-forestry-fishery production value in comparison with 2019.
Speaking at the conference, Mr.Dung suggested the sector to further maintain and enhance the quality of new-style rural construction criteria; continue tightening control over the quality of agricultural materials and food safety-hygiene; speed up dissemination of information about food safety-hygiene; promote sci-tech transfer, develop and improve the quality of human resources…
