Provincial health sector actively respond to “ASEAN Day of Dengue Prevention” 2016

Implementing the directive of Department of Preventive Medicine under Ministry of Health, provincial Department of Health asked affiliated units and non-public health facilities to organize activities in response to “ASEAN Day of Dengue Prevention” 2016.

Accordingly, to promote activities in response to “ASEAN Day of Dengue Prevention” 2016 integrated with Zika-virus disease prevention, units are required to set up and deploy “Plan for environmental sanitation and propaganda on preventing dengue fever, Zika-virus diseases, and hand, foot and mouth disease” at localities; advise local leaders to mobilize all people to perform practical activities to prevent diseases, especially during the peak month (Jun 2016); monitor old epidemic outbreaks, investigate and handle thoroughly emerging outbreaks; health facilities must prepare enough materials, equipment, drugs, chemicals, vehicles, personnel… to be ready for effective treatment for these diseases.
