August 22, Chair of Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Le Thanh Cung host a meeting with leaders from departments, sectors, districts, town, and the city to discuss measures to improve management competence in field of natural resources and environment in industrial parks and clusters in the province.The 28 approved industrial parks cover over 9,094 ha while the 8 approved industrial clusters cover 592 ha. All the industrial parks and clusters are up to financial obligations with environment profiles approved. Majority of the operating industrial parks have equiped with separate rain and waste water releasing systems. 25 out of 26 parks have waste water treatment systems with designed capacity of about 101,600 CBM per day night. 22 out of 26 parks have been registered with hazardous waste sources and 16 industrial parks have signed contracts of collecting and treating waste with registered waste deposing establishments.Hosting the meeting, Mr. Le Thanh Cung agreed upon measures to improve management competence in field of natural resources and environment; however, he stressed on researches for measures that are efficient and approved by the enterprises.Accordingly, Department of Natural Resources and Environment was asked to build up model evaluation criteria of infrastructure in industrial parks and clusters as basis for inspection and promotion of approved projects. Provincial Industrial Parks Authority and VSIP Authority were called upon to inspect and recommend investors to promote project construction in accordance with awarded investment certificates.Reported by Hoang An – Translated by Vi Bao
