May 15, Chair of Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Le Thanh Cung host a conference considering project of Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) improvement in Binh Duong Province.Attending the conference was representatives from related departments, sectors, Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), and goods associations in the province. At the conference, representative of Department of Planning and Investment hs presented the project evaluating PCI components and major measures to improve it while stating achievements of PCI in Binh Duong Province years ago.The representatives have given comments and idea regarding the PCI improvement in Binh Duong Province where 13,000 enterprises are operating. The fact is that only 60% of the 200 surveyed enterprises give feedbacks on their evaluation of local environment of investment, production, and business.Chair of Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Le Thanh Cung demanded Department of Planning and Investment and related agencies to carry out the project in serious manner to improve PCI for the time to come.Reported by Thanh Son – Translated by Vi Bao
