Early May 14th, Vice Chairman provincial People’s Committee Mr. Tran Thanh Liem presided at the meeting of Assessment council to approve the Industrial Cluster Development project up to 2020 with consideration of year 2025.At the meeting, the consultant presented planning content, goals and necessity of industrial clusters. Up to 2012, the province has 8 industrial clusters with an area of 578 ha, including 5 working industrial clusters and 4 filled ones. With only 8 existing clusters, the province cannot meet planning demands of small and medium scale projects containing both relocation and new projects. This leads to the need of industrial cluster planning from now to 2020 and 2025.Representatives of agencies then evaluated project quality. Eventually, Mr. Liem commented, the Assessment Council found that there were not so much innovations in this project, so the consultant should concern, modify and address some issues like legal basis, more precise assessments of industrial cluster condition, short-run goals and implementation approaches…Reported by T.Dong – Translated by Ngoc Huynh
