Provincial Red Cross Society offers Tet gifts to needy people

Provincial Red Cross Society has coordinated with sectors, mass organizations and localities in the province to organize a delegation to visit and present gifts to needy people in Tan Uyen town, Phu Giao and North Tan Uyen districts on the occasion of the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2018.

Accordingly, the delegation offered 200 gifts worth VND800,000 each to the poor, the disabled, Agent Orange victims and orphans in North Tan Uyen district’s Tan My commune and Tan Uyen town’s Hoi Nghia commune. The delegation also visited and presented 200 gifts to disadvantaged people in Phu Giao district.

This was one of activities in the “Tet for the poor” program 2018 launched by provincial Red Cross Society. Although having small value, these gifts expressed the attention of the State and Party and the “mutual affection, mutual love” spirit of the community for the poor, helping them enjoy a warmer Tet.
