Provincial Sub-Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection grants 18 production certificates under VietGAP standards

In order to improve the quality, brand and competitiveness of safe vegetables under TCVN 11892-1:2017 (VietGAP), provincial Sub-Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection has coordinated with the Economic Divisions of districts and towns to survey, select households in the project area and guide them about criteria on good agricultural production practice.

Accordingly, the sub-department has organized bidding, selecting a certification organization to appraise and evaluate the criteria of good agricultural production practice of households in the project area. As a result, 18 production certificates under VietGAP standards were granted to 18 households (including 8 households in Tan Uyen city, 4 households in Ben Cat town, 2 households in Di An city and 4 households in Thuan An city). In addition, to ensure food safety and help consumers identify the VietGAP-certified vegetable brand while reducing post-harvest losses, the sub-department has designed packaging to identify chain products and prove the origin of products supplied to households participating in the project that have been VietGAP certified with the quantity of 200kg of packaging per household.
