With practical, effective and creative models, provincial Trade Union has affirmed its role and position, becoming a firm support for the local trade unionists, laborers and absorbing more participants.

Fulcrum of laborers

Over the past time, provincial Trade Union boosted dialogues in protecting laborers’ legitimate rights and interests. Particularly, provincial Trade Union regularly guided and supported trade union locals to negotiate and sign collective labor deals with employers, realize democratic regulations at workplace, take part in dealing with labor disputes…

Provincial Labor Union was awarded the emulation banner of the Prime Minister at a ceremony marking the 90^th anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union

The whole province now has 60% of valid collective labor deals applied in enterprises with trade union locals. Their contents contributed to protecting laborers’ legitimate rights and interests, limiting labor disputes, thereby contributing to improving labor productivity and relationship.

Noticeably, provincial Trade Union was well-known with the “Gathering in Tet holiday” and “Spring sentimental bus” programs over the past time. On the last Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2019, provincial People’s Committee offered 10,350 gifts worth nearly VND5.2billion through the local Trade Union. Under the “Spring sentimental bus” program 2019, nearly 5,000 immigrant laborers with difficult circumstances were took to home for Tet.

Creation, effectiveness

With solidarity, flexibility, creation plus achievements done, provincial Trade Union and its branches have been determined to improve their operational contents and forms to absorb more participants. Particularly, provincial Labor Union this year has launched an emulation movement of “innovation, creation, effectiveness in Trade Union activities” among trade union locals across the province.

The main contents of the emulation movement are to improve thought and action in realizing tasks of each trade union local; building up a strong Trade Union; be creative in developing new models…As surveyed, the emulation movement has encouraged trade unionists and laborers to create initiatives, solutions to improve the role and position of the Trade Union in the new context. So far, many units have registered to implement the emulation movement with new models, namely “Saving book for laborers”, “Volunteer youth, militia in business”…

Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Chairwoman of provincial Labor Union asserted that with practical, effective and creative models, provincial Trade Union has affirmed its role and position, becoming a firm support for the local trade unionists and laborers and absorbing more participants. Currently, provincial Labor Union is one of top units in emulation movements of the Vietnam Trade Union. This is seen the encouragement for the local Trade Union to continue victoriously realizing the set targets in the new period with requirements, challenges ahead.
