A light increase of price

Despite strong changes of prices of paper, transport, printing…, items of notebook, textbook for the 2011-2012 school year only increase lightly. Meanwhile, Binh Minh bookstore has applied an old price list for some books.

At present, many parents have taken advantage of buying learning products for their children to prevent price hike. Ambience of shopping for the upcoming new school year has become animated across local bookstores. Purchasing power has increased about 20-30% compared to the past month. Nguyen Thi Binh in Phu Cuong ward, said right from the last weekend, she purchased textbooks and learning aids for her daughter.

Market stability

So far, the quantity of textbooks and learning aids is in abundant supply to meet the rising demand. Owing to high competition, many bookstores have launched promotional programs attractively. Bookstores under Fahasa Binh Duong system, Binh Duong Book Company and some agents and bookstores in Thu Dau Mot town and Thuan An town have offered a 5-8% discount program for good students.

Meanwhile, trade centers and supermarkets of Vinatex, Citimart have also built and launched programs of price stability for new school year items.
