Significant models for women in North Tan Uyen implemented

With the motto of “One piece of food while hungry equals a big box of food while full”, North Tan Uyen district’s Women’s Union has effectively maintained a model of “raising piggybank” to raise fund for members with difficult circumstances, award scholarships to poor-but-excellent pupils…

The local Women’s Union has also well responded models launched by provincial Women’s Union. Besides, it has mobilized women to actively study and follow Uncle Ho’s teachings via models, namely “Making dreams comes true”, “Women in North Tan Uyen with thrift practice”…

Noticeably, the “raising piggybank model of the local Women’s Union has just been honored by the district’s Party Committee at a conference reviewing the four-year implement of the Politburo’s Directive No.3 on further promoting “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals”. The model as of October 2014 collected more than VND200mln from 123 piggybanks for the local “Sharing dreams” Fund in order to offer help to women and children with difficult circumstances. On the occasion of the 2015 Tet (Lunar New Year) festival, the local Women’s Union presented 20 gifts worth VND10mln to 20 needy and women. It affiliates also awarded 23 scholarships to poor-but-excellent pupils, offered help to 35 lonely women…

Such these apart, the district’s Women’s Union has actively promoted emulation movements on “thrift practice” among members. Phan Thi Ngoc Loi, Chairwoman of the district’s Women’s Union said that the above models have become practical movements, not only showing the “mutual love, mutual affection” spirit to the community, but also the spirit of studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals on thrift practice, “The good leaves protect the worn-out leaves”…
