Southeastern youths lighten trust and volunteer in national defense

Today youths not only indicate their talents but wish to dedicate to the country. Aside from dynamic and enthusiastic youths, there is still part of bad youngsters. Implementing the national program on crime control, youth unions in the Southeastern provinces and cities have positively cooperated with agencies and sectors at all levels to prevent crimes and social evils, help other youths integrate into the community.

With the motto of “Coming to every alley, house and object”, youth unions at grassroot levels have contributed to prevent and minimize drug crime among youths.

To lightening trust

Over the past time, youths in the Southeastern region have made greater efforts to help young violators integrate into the community. The trust lightening clubs have promoted youths’ volunteer role in fighting crime and helping young violators integrate into the community.

In this year, there are 7 workgroups and 14 individuals winning achievements in controlling crimes and volunteering for the community.

Tran Thuy Thanh Trang, vice secretary head of An Thanh ward youth union is a typical youth of the region. With hope of building urban areas without narcotics, she urges to set up a club for future. The club has over years mobilized drug abusers to integrate into the community. Especially, the club educates hundreds of drug abusers to join in rehabilitation centers.

Addressing the congress, Huynh Van Nhi, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee lauded achievements done by provinces and cities in the Southeastern region and hoped that the region’s youths should promote voluntary spirit for the community, contributing to build a prosperous country.
