On Apr 5, PPC’s Vice Chairman Tran Thanh Liem chaired a meeting to approve Southern Power Corporation (EVN SPC)’s investment plan in Binh Duong grid in 2016.
At the meeting, Pham Ngoc Le, Deputy General Director of EVN SPC, said in the 2011-2015, EVN SPC had invested over VND1,164 billion in Binh Duong grid including 28 km of 110 kV power line with capacity of 491 MVA; 356 km of 22 kV power line of 159 MVA; 450 km of low voltage lines, serving power needs and local socio-economic development. According to the 2016 plan, EVN SPC will continue to allocate VND548 billion for 13 projects of 110 kV grid; prepare for 21 other projects of 110 kV grid with a total investment of VND1,477 billion ... to meet development requirements of Binh Duong in the new period. EVN SPC asked PPC for supports in compensation, site clearance of projects, and supports in propagating energy-saving programs…
After listening to opinions of departments, sectors, Mr. Liem emphasized, Binh Duong demands for electricity was increasing, thus the grid investment and development was very important. To ensure the harmoniousness between power needs and provincial development approved by the Prime Minister, PPC asked EVN SPC to gradually modernize infrastructure in line with provincial urban growth by being underground, improving capacity, transmission lines…
