Spring in a new rural commune

People in Tan Hiep commune, Phu Giao district just enjoyed a true Spring because the commune was recognized as a new rural commune in the end of the past year. With success of implementing the program of new rural building and mixing with lively ambience of Spring, the communal administration and people determine to preserve and promote the made criteria to develop the locality.

Right from the days before Tet holiday, main roads leading to Tan Hiep commune were decorated colorfully. After successful implementation of the program of new rural building, Tan Hiep commune people welcomed a warm and happy Spring.

The result was thanks to a constant effort of local party committee, administration and people. Several years ago, Tan Hiep was still a poor commune of Phu Giao district with the average level of socio-economic development. However, after implementing the program of new rural building, Tan Hiep has developed significantly and overall on all areas. Local residents were very happy with the done results.

Vo Lam, a resident in hamlet 5 said “We are very happy because our commune becomes a new rural area. Roads are expanded and upgraded and local residents’ life is improved significantly. From the support programs of economic development and income increase, local people build proper models of agricultural economy. In addition, local party committee and administration often hold meetings with poor households to grasp their aspiration. Thenceforth, many families escape poverty and make wealth”.

From determination of the local party committee and administration for the program of new rural building, Tan Hiep carries out criteria successfully. Till the end of 2014, local residents’ average income reached VND30mil per capita per year; rate of electricity and clean water using households reached 100%, rate of poor households declined at 0.57%, 98% of local families possessed facilities and more.

Vu Hai Ly, chairman of the communal People’s Committee said that the mentioned results were thanks to hi-unity between local party committee and people. “in order to get success in this program, local families voluntarily donated their land and asset to make rural roads”, Ly added.

The done achievements of building new rural area in Tan Hiep will be a solid foundation to improve criteria of socio-economic development, national defense and security in the coming time. According to Ly, the local party committee and administration will initially maintain the done results and target to stabilize economic structure, develop culture, education synchronously and effectively.

Ly added that the commune in 2015 will continue to well implement planning and project of building new rural areas. Of this, the locality specifies to spur dissemination and mobilize local residents to create hi-unity in a bid to improve quality of the done criteria in the past year and more.
