To ensure quality of the talk, Labor Union of Thong Dung Shoes Company Limited has oriented to collective issues of employees’ concerns. The Labor Union groups have promoted the active working manner to filter and gather the opinions. Thanks to thorough preparation, Thong Dung Company has gathered nearly 80 opinions of employees submitting to Board of Directors. The opinions were mainly on employment and lives of the employees including labor protection, health-care, kindergarten construction, extra working hours, breaktime meal quality, etc.

Factory workers of Thong Dung Shoes Company Limited propose their opinions

Ms. Nguyen Mong Truc, factory G worker, said: “Currently, the company implements attendance tracking four times a day which is time consuming. Thus, the company should consider to reduce to two times a day.”

Meantime, Ms. Truong Thi Bich Nghiep, factory F worker, said: “In previous talks, we have proposed to construct a kindergarten; however, the company replied that only baby-sitting fees is partially paid for workersto mitigate pressure on them and increase their working time for purchase orders.”

Mr. Nguyen Van Tien, factory G worker, said: “Previously, the company hired high cost meal supplier but failed to offer the workers; however, as the company organized its own kitchen, workers have been well-fed to regain their labor force, contributing to the success of the company.”

Comments and opinions welcomed to develop enterprises

In open atmosphere, the representative of Thong Dung Shoes Co. Ltd. tentatively listened to opinions of the workers to thoroughly response and resolve. Mr. Huang Ming Wei, the Deputy HR Manger of the company resolved the requirements while expressing his satisfaction as the talks have helped to resolve drawbacks. The company welcomes the opinions, even the most trivial to contribute to sustainable development of the company.

Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan, Labor Union Chairman of the company said: “The talks have been thorough to help enteprises to stay strong. Those enterprises of good talks of employees and employers will offer the most harmonized labor relationship as well as spiritual and material lives of the workers. This is the chemistry of employees and employers aiming to construct strong labor class in the era of industrialization and modernization.”
