Tan Uyen recognized as third-class city

Early January 31, Tan Uyen town’s Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Fatherland Front Committee grandly held a get-together to mark the 89th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930-February 3, 2019) and announced a decision recognizing Tan Uyen as a third-class city.

The event was attended by Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly delegation deputy; Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; revolutionary veterans; heroic Vietnamese mothers; leaders of sectors, departments and the town over periods together with numerous locals.

Thanks to the efforts by the local sectors, authorities at all levels, people from all strata and business community, the town reached and surpassed the set targets. The town continued gained stable economic growth; paid more attention to fields of culture, healthcare, education, social welfare; maintained political security, social order-safety. In 2018, the town’s industrial production value surged 12%. Trade-services and agro-forestry-fishery production grow by 1.2% and 1.1%, respectively. The average income of the local people was VND120,000 per person per year. The whole town had a total of more than 900 domestic businesses and 560 FDI ones…

Addressing the event, Mr.Hung stressed that recognizing Tan Uyen as a third-class city has affirmed the town’s position and development while opening up opportunities for the town to uphold the local socio-economic potentials and improving the spiritual and material lives of the local people.

On this occasion, Mr.Nam awarded the 30-60-year Party membership insignias to Party members…
