TDM city’s socio-economic performance in the first three months of 2016 continued reaping positive results. Nguyen Van Dong, Chairman of TDM city’s People’s Committee said that the city has urgently solved some works that will bring it a new image. Particularly, the city approved plans on compensation and resettlement for 3 traffic works; granted a licence to a detailed plan on 1/500 scale of Thanh Le commercial housing area in Phu Tho ward; sorted out contractors for 9 streets in 5 wards, comprising of Dinh Hoa, Phu Tho, Hiep An, Phu My and Phu Hoa.

He also recognized that there have been many shortcomings on compensation work in some places in the city, due to many reasons. Hence, sectors and authorities at all levels of the city need to make more efforts to fulfill 2016’s growth plan.

Soon removing difficulties

Nguyen Thi Bach Tuyet, Chairwoman of Chanh My ward’s People’s Committee in TDM city said that in the face of the current opportunities and challenges, the locality has always taken initiative in helping enterprises remove their difficulties, while further facilitating their investment. Phu Cuong is the central ward of TDM city with trade-services last year accounting for more than 60% of the local economic structure. But, the situation of pavement encroachment for trade has still occurred in some areas in the ward. Van Nguyet Anh, Chairwoman of the ward’s People’s Committee said that the ward and the TDM market Management Board have discussed a plan on orderly arranging business households on streets around the market. This aims to raise public awareness of urban civilization implementation towards building up a first-class TDM city.

Regarding investment attraction, Mrs.Anh said that the ward will continue effectively taking measures to remove enterprises’ difficulties, creating the best favorable investment climate for their business and production, in which administrative reform in all fields is focused on. The ward will also attach special importance to State budget collection in Q2 2016.
