Late May 8, TDM city’s Red Cross Society held a get-together to mark the 150th anniversary of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement; the 150th anniversary of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day (May 8, 1863-May 8, 2013).

This year’s theme of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is “150 years of humanitarian action”. TDM city’s Red Cross Society has over time got involved in many social charity activities for the poor, the disabled and Agent Orange victims. Particularly, the city’s Red Cross Society last year mobilized more than VND4bln to offer help to 15,804 cases with difficulties through the models of “Charity rice jar”, “Saving for piggy banks”…

The city’s Red Cross Society has also paid attention to public healthcare. Currently, the whole society has 12 first aid points and 14 motorbike teams for first aid with 190 members. In 2012, they gave first aid to 567 cases…
