Tet gifts given for the poor, the disabled

Early January 23, Dau Tieng district’s People’s Committee in collaboration with the district’s Buddhist Sangha held the “Tet with the poor” program 2019.

Accordingly, the organizers gave around 400 gifts worth more than VND120million for poor and near-poor households in communes of Dinh Thanh, Thanh An, Minh Thanh, Dinh An, Dinh Hiep and Dau Tieng township. It is known that along with support from units, enterprises and donors, the district has donated 2,700 gifts worth more than VND1.2billion to the local disadvantaged people and policy beneficiary families, helping them enjoy a warmer Tet.

*The same day, the Red Cross Society of Hiep Thanh ward in Thu Dau Mot city held a “Compassionate Spring-Beloved Tet” program.

Particularly, the ward’s Red Cross Society mobilized Binh Duong Lottery One-Member Co.Ltd. to present 80 gifts worth VND300,000 each for the local poor households and disabled people, helping them enjoy a warmer and more sufficient Tet.
