As a part of activities marking the 83rd founding anniversary of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) (November 18, 1930-November 18, 2013), provincial FFC has selected TDM city’s Phu Cuong ward as a key locality for the launching stage in response to the campaign of “The entire people consolidate to build up a cultural lifestyle in residential quarters”.

Nguyen Thu Cuc, Secretary of Phu Cuong ward’s People’s Committee said that the local leaders felt very cheerful when the ward was selected as a key locality to further launch the campaign of “The entire people consolidate to build up a cultural lifestyle in residential quarters”.

The local people also expressed their delight while raising high the spirit of solidarity, mutual love and affection towards building up cultural families and quarters.

Nguyen Dinh Tan, Head of the ward’s quarter 9 said that since 2000, the quarter 9 has won the title of “strong quarter” for 13 consecutive years. There have been 207 out of 208 households winning the title of “cultural ones”. The majority of the local households now earn their living by trade and services. They have well realized all targets of the campaign. They have also just provided VND2.5mln as relief aid to people hit by recent storms in the central region.

On this occasion, Tran Thi Son, Vice-Chairman of provincial FFC called for people from all strata to further respond to the campaign of “The entire people consolidate to build up a cultural lifestyle”, practically aiming to welcome the 8th Congress of the Vietnam FFC.

Since 1995, the campaign of “The entire people consolidate to build up a cultural lifestyle in residential quarters” has constantly developed, contributing to the socio-economic development of the country in general and of Binh Duong in particular. Under the campaign, people from all strata in the province have helped each other in hunger eradication and poverty reduction for a stable life; well observed the Party and State’s polices and laws; upheld the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source” and well realized the activities of “paying debt of gratitude”…

The province has made considerable results after 18 year-implementation of the campaign. Particularly, the local people helped each other in economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction with more than VND936bln; contributed more than VND120bln to provincial Fund for the Poor and its affiliates. Under the campaign, the province also built 1,396 great unity houses for poor households; provided free medical check-up and treatment for more than 1,000 people; awarded scholarships to more than 2,000 children…The campaign also actively contributed to building up healthy quarters, communes, wards…

At the launching ceremony, Mrs.Son suggested the local authorities at all levels to pay more attention to the propaganda work to promote the campaign. Provincial FFC and its affiliates will also bring the contents of the campaign into other emulation movements for better results; further uphold their role in the organization and implementation of the campaign, contributing to well realizing the campaigns of building up cultural families, residential quarters and new rural areas, civilized urban ones under the spirit of the Resolution of the 5th Conference of the 8th Party Central Committee on “Building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identities”…
