The poor and social beneficiaries accessible to preferential loans

In the afternoon of August 23, the Board of Directors of Binh Duong provincial Bank for Social Policies (BDBSP) held a conference to review the activities of the H1 of the year and implement the direction and tasks for the H2 of 2022.

In the H1 of 2022, the provincial BDBSP advised the provincial People's Committee to issue documents to implement the lending program for poor, nearly-poor households, households newly escaped poverty, social housing and other lending programs. Accordingly, those lending programs have actively contributed to poverty reduction, job creation and social security in the area.

As for the program helping employers to borrow loans to afford payrolls to stop job quitting and restore production according to Decision No. 23 of the Prime Minister, the implementation starting in July 2021 and ending on 5 April 2022 has eyed the disbursed loans to 223 employers with the amount of more than VND 541 billion to cover salaries for more than 124,000 working people. For the loan implementation according to Resolution 11, the capital allocated by the Central Bank for Social Policies is VND 168 billion, of which nearly VND 109 billion has so far been disbursed at the rate of 65% of the plan.

At the conference, the members of the representative board discussed directions and tasks to focus on implementing from now until the end of the year with particular priority given to ensuring sufficient capital resources for poor, nearly-poor households and households newly escaping poverty according to the results of the local survey in 2022-2025.
