On April 20, Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; together with leaders of relevant departments, branches, and localities, surveyed the compensation work for Ring Road 3; backbone routes connecting Binh Duong - Ho Chi Minh City from Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi highway area.

The Ring Road 3 project’s compensation and site clearance work has been carried out from November 2022. The area of land acquisition belongs to two wards Binh An and Binh Thang of Di An city. It is expected that the acquired land area is over 222,000 m2. The total number of cases affected by the project is so far 515 cases, corresponding to 523 land plots. As of April 17, the province finished measuring, tallying and setting up compensation records for 486/515 cases, reaching the rate of 94%; 29 cases remain unchecked.

PPC Chairman Vo Van Minh concludes the meeting.

Regarding resettlement, through preliminary survey, there are more than 300 cases where their house were cleared completely or the remaining land area is not enough for housing construction, must receive land plots for resettlement.

Therefore, based on the number of existing resettlement sites in Di An city, Compensation Council intends to arrange resettlement sites in six resettlement sites with a total of 284 plots. Vo Van Hong, Chairman of People's Committee of Di An City, said that the city is currently facing problems, the most difficult is the issue of compensation price for households, because the land price is different between Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City) and Di An City.

Concluding the meeting, Vo Van Minh emphasized that Ring Road 3 is a strategic road; is a very important gateway of Di An city in particular and Binh Duong province in general. Therefore, relevant units must submit a report to Provincial Department of Planning and Investment as a basis for project approval so that Provincial People's Committee will submit it to the meeting of Provincial People's Council in early May 2023; at the same time, focus on performing well the work of compensation and site clearance. For the resettlement area, the PPC Chairman asked relevant units to calculate land prices to ensure interests of the people.

Previously, the Chairman of Provincial People's Committee surveyed the progress of compensation, site clearance, and resettlement of Ring Road 3, East-West main road.
