Thu Dau Mot town has great achievements in fields of socio-economic development to become one of a center for political, economic, social, and cultural activities as well as a leading road port to provinces.

 

Infrastructure is now focused to be listed as 2-class municipality. Along with municipality development, enterprises and the people have invested to modernize their households and new residential areas. Currently, 36 projects of residential areas and 38 projects of housing hubs have covered 840 ha of the area. In 2009 – 2011, the town see another two new urban area project being launched for an area of over 1,000 hectares in site clearance and compensation stage sponsored by Becamex IDC and 135 General Company of Joint-stock and Investment.

 

Along with the concentration on new housing and residing places, Thu Dau Mot town is also oriented to construction of servicing and commercial constructions of large scales such as Commercial Centers of Phu Hoa, Dinh Hoa, Becamex City Center, Phu Loi residential area’s trade center, Phu Cuong trade center, Binh Duong Co.op Mart, and Mettro. Before hand, Dinh market in Phu Loi ward is being upgraded while Thu Dau Mot market is being rebuilt. New Phu Thuan market place is under construction.

 

Reinforcement of technical infrastructure has also been conducted in Thu Dau Mot town with over 431 constructions, 206 of which are rural traffic construction. Some 149 projects have been completed so far. Traffic system is gradually satisfactory to the demand of connection across key avenues of No. 13, DT741, DT742, DT743, DT744, and DT745.

Green trees and recreational areas are also taken into consideration during construction of Thu Dau Mot town so as to not only create natural scene but also can maintain environment protection.
