Thuan An town grants certificates to typical rural agriculture products

Thuan An town Farmers’ Society just reviewed its operation and farmer movement in 2014. Accordingly, the town economic structure gained the rate of 71.4% in industry, 28.3% in service trade and 0.3% in agriculture.

Owing to narrowed agricultural area, the town farmers society focuses on transferring technical science advances into production and farming. Rural economy is developed on urban agriculture.

The locality now has 32 economic cooperation teams with 368 members. Among of these, the society sets up 7 cooperation teams in 2014. In this year, the entire town has 2,456 households winning the title of good farmers in production and business, reaching 85%. Of these, 31 households get the title from the central level, 163 ones from provincial level, 537 ones from town level, 10 out of 10 grassroot sub-societies gain title of clean and strong sub-societies.

On this occasion, Thuan An town People’s Committee granted certificates to 10 typical rural agriculture products, 7 individuals were awarded insignias of Vietnamese Farmers’ Society. In addition, the provincial Farmers’ Society conferred merit certificates to Thuan An town farmers society for its excellent achievements in the provincial emulation movement.
