Tien Hung hi-tech agricultural park, a new way for local agricultural sector

Update: 26-05-2011 | 00:00:00

In the context of the local agricultural land shrunk, Tien Hung hi-tech agricultural park in Tan Uyen is expected to open a new way for the local agricultural park. But, the local authorities need to create favorable conditions for the development of the hi-tech agricultural park.

Hi-tech based agriculture production is necessary

Approved by provincial People’s Committee at Decision No.4578/QD-UBND dated Oct.23, 2009, the Tien Hung hi-tech agricultural park project is invested by Tien Hung Trading Production Co.Ltd. in Tan Uyen district’s Hieu Liem commune with 90.26ha in total.

It is expected that the company will use 31.2 ha for the chicken-breeding section with the size of more than 1mln chickens a year, including 900,000 chickens for egg and meat and 16.5 ha for the pig-breeding section under a closed model with the size of 9,000 breeding pigs a year and 26,600 pigs for meat a year.

The company will also spend 5.6 ha on building a section for slaughtering, classifying, packing and preserving pork and chicken. There will be also around 6.5 ha for growing various plants to process animal feed at the hi-tech agricultural park’s demand.

Possibly speaking, the birth of the Cao Hung hi-tech agricultural park in the current context is a right way for the agricultural sector of the province in general and Tan Uyen in particular. It will not only generate jobs for around 200 laborers, but also open many useful services and bring the local animal husbandry sector a great profit…

Making favorable conditions for development needed

There are few localities nationwide developing the hi-tech agricultural parks. Ha Noi has pioneered the field, followed by Lam Dong, Ba Ria-vung Tau, Binh Duong…Currently, HCM city also has a hi-tech agricultural park of 90 ha in Cu Chi district’s Pham Van Coi commune with a total investment capital of VND152.6bln.

But, these hi-tech agricultural parks have initially faced difficulties as the State’s common policies to make legal corridors for investors in this field have not yet been issued, leading to confusion between planning and real development. Tien Hung hi-tech agricultural park in Tan Uyen district has also encountered such hurdle for development.

During his field-trip to the Tien Hung hi-tech agricultural park, provincial People’s Committee Chairman Tran Van Nam also instructed relevant sides to make favorable conditions for the hi-tech agricultural park to be put into operation soon…
