To bring up spring for the nation

Early May 19, the tree planting ceremony was held at the square of Binh Duong Provincial Administrative Center under the sponsorship of Binh Duong Provinicla People’s Committee to remember President Ho Chi Minh on his 125^th birthday (May 19, 1890 to May 19, 2015). Attending the ceremony was Mr. Mai The Trung, Member of Central Committee of CPV, Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, and Head of Binh Duong Provincial NA Delegation, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu, Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Tran Van Nam, Chair of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, Member of Standing Board of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Chair of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Huynh Van Nhi, Member of Standing Board of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, Chair of Binh Duong Provincial Vietnamese Fatherland Committee, Major General Van Cong Danh, General Commander of the 7^th Military Region, former provincial leaders, and 1,200 officers, cadres, armed forces, students and the youths in the province.

At the ceremony, Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, Member of Standing Board of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Chair of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee stated the whole life devotion of President Ho Chi Minh for liberation of people from injustice and bringing up green environment for the public. Fifty six years ago on November 28, President Ho Chi Minh initiated the tree planting ceremony, calling for people to plant more trees for the environment, bringing up great public support. The activities have become common practice among the people.

Liem stressed on environment protection and preservation of biological diversity to fight climate change which is the major problem in the modern industrialization world. Green trees mean a lot to constructions and the reflection of civilization.

Following the teaching of President Ho Chi Minh of 10-year benefits of tree planting, Binh Duong Province has made botanical coverage of nearly 60% to effectuate sustainable development of the province.

Liem also called for tree planting in the process of local industrialization and modernization.

On the occasion, the participants planted 1,919 green trees at the Administrative Center of the province, the central park, and Hoa Loi social housing zone.
