After four years of self-managed grouping program implementation, success has been thanks to efforts of Fatherland Front Committee and Natural Resources and Environment Department since 2007.

 

People in residential area No. 2 of My Phuoc town have been contributing to cleaner environment along the No. 13 national avenue. A self-manage group set up since July 2007 in this area has actively engaged in propaganda for environment protection. All the people have voluntarily participated in actions to protect the environment. Their efforts have yielded fruits in on 3 months with cleaner spaces. People became more aware of their actions not to affect environment.

 

 

People become more aware to make cleaner residential areas.

Mr. To Van Duong – My Phuoc PC Chairman said that the success of a new model has contributed much to environment protection in the area.

 

Totally there are 14 operating groups, of which 8 models are sponsored, in districts and towns.

 

Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has made evaluation that establishment of self-managed groups in environment protection has prompted people to be more aware and to register to rubbish collection which minimize rubbish being littered around.

 

FFC Deputy Chairman Tran Thi Son put it that within the next 5 years, models of self-managed groups in environment protection will be promoted in terms of propaganda and mobilization in community to enhance awareness. Besides, measures are to be launched connecting people in environment protection as well as emulation movements of “People united to construct cultural life” tied to environment protection for the sake of sustainable development.
