Le Thanh Vi was born in 1978 in central Ha Tinh province and used to be a Truong Sa soldier from 1998 to 2001. In 2003, he moved to southern Binh Duong province and now resides at 4/291, Hoa Lan 1 hamlet, Thuan Giao commune, Thuan An district.

 

Vi got married to Nguyen Thi Hoan, also from central Ha Tinh province. In 2006, Hoan gave birth to a son named Le Van Dung. Due to being born prematurely, Dung was in bad health. Dung this year is at the age of 4 and is suffering from liver cancer. Currently, Dung are being treated at the HCM city Tumor Hospital

 

It is known that Le Thanh Vi and Nguyen Thi Hoan are under a hard circumstance. They have actually made many sacrifices for their ill son. Hoan had to get rid of job to take care for Dung. All financial burdens, therefore, fall on Vi’s shoulders. Meanwhile, the couple’s families are also very poor.
