The provincial Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics on July 29 held a 3rd congress of “Honoring typical examples in Catholic community”. At the congress, the Committee and its affiliates introduced patriotic emulation movements in the Catholic community. The highlighted feature of the local Catholic community is that over the years the community has positively joined in social activities. Notably, Thuan An district Center for Disabled Children Education has made excellent achievements in taking care for visually-impaired children.
Dao Ngoc Nu, chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee highly valued the local community’s contributions in the local process of industrialization and modernization. Through the emulation movement of “All people unite to build civilized life”, the local community has emerged many typical examples in the fields of charity, education, homebased business development, social order. However, to uphold the done achievements, the local Catholic community should keep joining in local emulation movements, contributing to turn Binh Duong into civilized and modern urban area.
On the occasion, 36 collectives and individuals in the local Catholic community were honored by the local administration.
