Binh Duong organizes a ceremony to launch the 13th National Week on Labor Safety and Hygiene – Fire and Explosion Prevention (LSH and FEP) at Thanh Le Cultural Park today, March 17. Most of the labor accidents were recorded in the construction field, due to laborers’ carelessness and lack of knowledge about labor accident prevention. In fact, many small or middle-sized businesses have yet not paid attention to giving training on labor safety for laborers and providing them with necessary labor safety tools to prevent labor accidents, occupational diseases and fire-explosion cases. There were also shortcomings on the inspection, management work for the LSH and FEP…

Which measures will the province step up to well realize the LSH and FEP work after the week?

Provincial Steering Board for the 13th National Week on Labor Safety and Hygiene – Fire and Explosion Prevention has issued many documents guiding sectors, localities, industrial park management boards and businesses to organize activities in response to the week; instructed businesses to give training on labor safety for laborers and pay attention to fire-explosion prevention and well realize inspection of their LSH and FEP work…

Besides, the steering board has promoted propaganda activities about the LSH and FEP work before, during and after the week through the mass media. Relevant agencies also need to regularly made inspection tours of the LSH and FEP work at businesses and give strict punishment to units and individuals who violate the regulations on LSH and FEP, causing serious consequences.
