Before the 2023 national high-school graduation exam, provincial Youth Union organized a delegation to visit and encourage the “Giving strength to exam season”  volunteer squad and award scholarships in districts, towns and cities. Provincial Youth Union coordinated with Tan Uyen city’s Youth Union to give 8 "Giving strength to exam season" scholarships and gifts for students with difficult circumstances. This encouraged and opportunely supported poor students, striving for good results in the exam while encouraging the spirit of volunteers.

With the spirit of “mutual affection, mutual love”, Tan Uyen city’s Youth Union and Youth Federation cooperated with the city’s Young Entrepreneurs Association to mobilize enterprises to support and award 33 scholarships to poor students before the national high-school graduation exam with a total value of more than VND 13 million, thereby contributing to supporting and encouraging students to further overcome difficulties to study well.

During the visit to the "Giving strength to exam season” squad in North Tan Uyen district, provincial leaders encouraged students participating in the 2023 national high-school graduation exam; praised the volunteer spirit of the "Giving strength to exam season" squad while acknowledging the thoughts and aspirations of students and volunteers. On this occasion, North Tan Uyen district’s Youth Union advised provincial Youth Union and the district’s People's Committee on awarding 10 scholarships worth VND 7 million to the local poor-but-excellent children.

Under the action plan of provincial Youth Union Congress for the 2022-2027 tenure, provincial Youth Unions at all levels will accompany youngsters in learning with propaganda activities on building a learning society and awareness of self-study, self-practice; strengthen the connection of resources, effectively promote the existing awards, scholarships, and support funds of the Youth Union to promptly encourage, commend, foster and support students with difficult circumstances.

In addition, provincial Youth Unions at all levels will improve the quality of the awards, organize festivals "Students with 5 good performances", "3-practice students", forums and seminars on learning methods. The Youth Union work of the 2022-2027 tenure will also focus on promoting coordination in vocational guidance for students; strive to provide career consultancy for at least 150,000 youths and give 5,000 gifts for disadvantaged children.

Volunteering to defend the Fatherland

In the last days of June, provincial Youth Union, Youth Federation and Students Association organized volunteer campaigns, namely "Green Summer", "Pink Vacation" and the journey "Binh Duong Youth for national sea and islands" in Binh Thuan province’s Phu Quy district.

At the martyrs ‘monument in Phu Quy district, provincial Youth Union, Youth Federation and Student Association offered incense, flowers to commemorate heroic martyrs and launched volunteer campaigns with meaningful and practical activities. The local volunteers participated in the construction of the "Lighting up rural road" work worth VND40 million, the work of scanning QR code at the relic site worth VND 20 million, the work of "Changing new clothes for the old wall", embellishing the embankment worth VND 10 million and the "Fatherland Flag Road" work worth VND 20 million. The delegation also visited, presented gifts to 2 policy families, 2 border posts and awarded 20 scholarships to students with difficult circumstances. The journey upheld the youth spirit for national sea and islands and the movement "Youth volunteering to defend the Fatherland".

Tran Thi Diem Trinh, Secretary of provincial Youth Union said that for the movement of "Youth defending the Fatherland", provincial Youth Unions at all levels will concretize programs and plans in a practical way. Particularly, the local youth will propagandize and well implement the Law on Military Service and the annual enlistment camp; mobilize young people to join in the army to defend the Fatherland; promote the movement of "Unity of the 3 forces", the program of "Alliance of 3 shirt colors"...

In addition, the local youth will further carry out the campaign of "For the sentimental attachment to border areas and remote islands", the "Border March" program associated with education, propaganda, on national defense and security for Youth Union members, especially young workers, students to raise political awareness, responsibility and vigilance against the plot of "peaceful evolution" from hostile forces.
