Warm solidarity of ethnic and religious groups

Update: 04-05-2023 | 17:16:08

Not only religious followers, ethnic groups, many foreigners have also participated in the contest of "Meal of unity of religious – ethnic groups" in Tan Uyen city with the spirit of joy and excitement. They have joined hands in cooking a "solidarity" meal.

Tightening the great unity bloc

Being present at the contest very early, Venerable Thich Tam Thong from Long Thang pagoda showed us his ingenuity and meticulousness through the contest titled "Souk of homeland" with a flower garden. The white lotus flowers looked eye-catching, arranged with leaves such as fern, betel nut and small chrysanthemum flowers. The team of Long Thang pagoda seemed to bring the competition a green miniature field. Venerable Thich Tam Thong shared: “In the atmosphere of solidarity, joy and excitement, we are really happy to participate in the contest. We sincerely thank the city’s Fatherland Front Committee for creating a meaningful playground for religious and ethnic groups, including Buddhism to participate in. The meal to unite ethnic and religious groups is an opportunity for us to exchange, connect, and join hands to build up a more civilized and affectionate Tan Uyen city."

Possibly speaking, the highlight of the contest "Meal of unity of ethnic and religious groups" in Tan Uyen city this year has not only attracted representatives of the local leaders, religious and ethnic groups, but also a lot of foreigners who are managers of foreign-invested enterprises in Tan Uyen city. Using his hand to lightly wipe sweat, Chun Hyun Jun from Binh Duong Vietnam - Korea College, a member of the "Korean" team, was busy with his teammates to complete “Bun cha Hanoi” (Hanoi-style rice vermicelli with grilled pork) in time to attend the competition. Talking about the fate of bringing “Bun cha Hanoi” to the contest, he said: “10 years ago, when I first came to Vietnam, I enjoyed “Bun cha Hanoi”. The first food I tasted when I came to Vietnam has made me fall in love until now. That's the reason why today I make “Bun cha Hanoi” to affirm that Vietnamese cuisine is really great."

Joining hands to build up a civilized and affectionate city

Looking at the scene where people, regardless of ethnicity and religion, gathered together around trays of rice, arranged flower baskets, chatted happily, and interacted with each other with bright smiles, they could see the full meaning of "meal of solidarity”. Taking advantage of completing their testing parts, they invited each other to take souvenir photos to tighten their sentimental attachment.

Soeur Anna Hong Hoa from Ben San leprosy camp left a strong impression on use. After completing her presentation to the jury of the competition, seeing that many members of the foreign team came to see her team's products, taking the opportunity, Soeur Anna Hong Hoa introduced the  Vietnamese history culture and traditions in English to them. She said: “The lotus is a flower symbolizing the nobility and indomitableness of people in the face of all adversities. The lotus flower is associated with the life of the Vietnamese people, along with the long history of the Vietnamese nation with many nuances and noble meanings. The red roses are arranged in the shape of a map of Vietnam. Red rose petals as a "red flower" message aim at paying tribute to heroes and martyrs who have contributed to the revolution. For flower arrangement with the theme of "solid fulcrum", we want to remember and be grateful to the generations of our elders. Today, we come here, integrating and joining hands to build up a more and more rich and beautiful Tan Uyen homeland”.

The contest about a meal of solidarity is really precious, creating conditions for people of all ethnic and religious groups to have a warm and harmonious celebration. Regardless of ethnicity, religion and age, all immersed themselves in a meaningful and extensive community day, expressing the cultural beauty of the renovation period: Civilization, modernity, affectionateness.

“This year's contest has the participation of the local ethnic and religious groups such as H'Mong, Khmer, Kinh, Chinese and managers of foreign-invested enterprises in Tan Uyen city from  the UK, USA, Japan, China, Malaysia, Philippines, South Korea. Through the contest, the organizing board hopes that religious and ethnic groups will tighten the great national unity bloc, joining hands to build up a more and more prosperous and beautiful Tan Uyen city. (Le Thi Ut, Head of Tan Uyen city’s Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the city’s Fatherland Front Committee).
