Welcoming a peaceful, happy spring

In a jubilant, healthy, safe, economical manner, provincial Party Committee, People's Committee directed departments, districts, towns and city to make good preparation for Party and spring 2015 celebrating plan. Therefore, people welcomed the spring with excitement, peace and happiness. 

Many joyful activities welcoming the New Year

Prior to the New Year, provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, leaders of agencies and sectors, businesses visited, gave Tet gifts to veterans, Vietnam heroic mothers, policy beneficiaries, poor children, Central army forces stationed in the province, hospitals, schools; workers cannot return home on Tet holidays; diplomatic agencies; religious leaders and ethnic minorities, overseas compatriots…

This year, Binh Duong province organized many cultural activities, contests, festivals, spring festival, flower streets… to serve the people on Tet holidays. At the Administrative Center in Binh Duong New City, from 6 pm of 18^th Feb to 1 am of 19^th Feb (the 30^th lunar day), Eve Night with cultural performances and fireworks display attracted 100,000 audiences. In addition, at the outdoor stage of the new city, in every evening from the 1^st to 4^th lunar day, many cultural shows, dragon dances, folks games, ornamental contests, sports competition took place to serve the people.

From the 29^th to 6^th lunar day, provincial Museum organized Spring press festival displaying 478 spring publications; Spring flower festival introducing bonsai, rock gardens, exotic flowers; Ornamental contest displaying artistic ornamental things; art exhibition with displayed more than 100 photographic works. Museums, traditional houses, historic monuments opened during the holiday for people to visit.

Flower streets at the Binh Duong New City’s center were decorated and welcomed people from the 29^th day of the lunar December to the 6^th day of the lunar January, creating a new feature for this spring. Flower streets were decorated with 13 miniatures and lighting system, and beautifully decorated streets attracted tens thousand of people coming to enjoy.

Provincial Folks music ensemble in collaboration with Labor Federation, Information Culture offices of localities organized 9 cultural shows to serve people at rural areas, industrial parks, attracting about 5,000 viewers. In addition, provincial Cultural – Movies Center held a spring celebrating show happening from the 30^th to 4^th lunar day, and 25 mobile shows for migrant workers at many places in the province.

Celebrating spring peacefully and thriftily

Provincial districts, towns, and city have complied with leadership’s directions to organize many spring welcoming activities in accordance with each locality’s situation. Businesses also contributed to organizing many activities taking care of people. Districts, towns and city carried out fireworks display on the New Year’s Eve.

Spring came to everybody.

Provincial leaders directed the authorities to conduct peak attacks on crime, ensuring social security and order. Major Le Minh Ngan, Phu My ward police chief, said, in order for people to enjoy a safe spring, on the New Year’s Eve, 100% security forces, civil defense and militia went on patrol at the new city to maintain security and order, regulate traffic on roads of Huynh Van Luy, Pham Ngoc Thach and My Phuoc - Tan Van... Therefore, on the New Year’s Eve, there were no accidents or traffic jams.

At Di An town, Major Nguyen Thanh Tung, An Binh ward police chief, said: "On Tet holidays, we gathered all local forces to increase patrols against illegal racing, handle timely accidents to ensure security. As an area adjacent to HCM City, there was high possibility of crime. Therefore, local army forces always uphold the spirit and determine to bring peace for people on Tet holidays”.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bao Van (24 years old, coming from Ha Tinh) said: " This year, I and many friends at my lodging house stayed at Binh Duong to welcome Tet. We selected Binh Duong New City as a spring destination. On the New Year’s Eve, boisterous, lively atmosphere here signaled a Binh Duong province flourishing every day”.
