Young workers away from home enjoy a cozy Tet

The organization of activities taking care of young workers’ spiritual and material lives during Tet is still always a concern of sectors and mass organizations in the province…

 Sharing the heart

 Although 2010’s economy still faced difficulties, most of province-based businesses tried to ensure the Tet bonus levels for their staff, helping them enjoy a cozy Tet. Many businesses also organized a lot of entertainment activities for their staff who could not return homeland for Tet, including year-end parties, karaoke singing contests…

 Meanwhile, proprietors in the province actively got involved in activities taking care of young workers’ lives during Tet. Nguyen Thi Sot, the owner of a lodging facility at the Hoa Loi residential area in Ben Cat district said that not only her, but other proprietors also donated Tet gifts, including confectionary, seasoning powder, cooking oil, sugar…, to young workers living at their lodging facilities.

 Giving regards to young workers

 Before lunar New Year’s Eve, provincial Youth Union and its affiliates paid Tet visits to young workers who could not return home for Tet while donating gifts to them. The Youth Unions of Thuan An town and An Phu ward this Tet presented nearly 400 gifts worth between VND250,000 and VND300,000 each to young workers.

 Provincial Business Bloc’s Youth Union, Ben Cat district’s Youth Union and My Phuoc Industrial Development Enterprise, on Dec.26 of lunar calendar, jointly kicked off a program named “Reunion day”, absorbing the crowds of young workers in the My Phuoc township 2. 200 Tet gifts worth VND300,000 each were also presented to young workers.

 Noticeably, TDM town’s Youth Union this Tet cooperated with its affiliates to implement a pilot program “Bringing alien workers to policy beneficiary families to enjoy Tet together”…Provincial Youth Union’s Standing Committee, on Dec.27 of lunar calendar, also visited and donated VND2mln from provincial Support Fund for Poor Alien Workers to two workers Dao Xuan Tuan and Bui Xuan Van…

 Getting animated with entertainment activities

 The province also seemed to become animated with entertainment activities for young workers during Tet. On Dec.27 of lunar calendar, young workers at Thuan An district’s lodging facilities enjoyed a joyful get-together to welcome Tet. The district’s Youth Federation also held many other interesting activities for young workers, including an apricot arrangement contest, a banh tet cooking contest, an art performance program…

Whilst, young workers in the My Phuoc township 2 were very animated with a program named “Enjoying Tet reunion”. Young workers in TDM town also had the chance to take part in many joyful activities in the “Spring street” program held by the local Youth Union…
